HI, June has been designated Torture Awareness Month so the salon is
doing it's part in educating people regarding torture. Tackling
Torture at the Top, a committee of WAMM, will be with us to answer
questions about what they have learned since Abu Ghraib and the
photos, and the torture memos written to justify torture by the
lawyers in the US Justice Department, including our own St Thomas Law
School professor, Robert Delahunty.
Has it been banned by the Obama administration? Is it ever
warranted? Is it Constitutional? What laws prohibit it?
Coleen Rowley is one of the members of T3 and she will be at the salon
with us.
Thanks, patty
