Minnesotans Join Together to Say

“Venezuela is Not Our Enemy!”

[1]Solidarity with Venezuela Protest
Wednesday, March 25th
4:30-5:30 pm*
Lake Street/Marshall Avenue Bridge over the Mississippi River

Both President Obama and Secretary of State Kerry are advocating for U.S.
meddling in the internal affairs of Venezuela. On March 9th the U.S.
increased sanctions on Venezuela and Obama signed an executive order
declaring Venezuela an “unusual and extraordinary threat to national
security." Foreign ministers of the 12-country Union of South American
Nations and many members of the Organization of the American States,
including Colombia – the U.S. main ally in the region - have called for a
revocation of the U.S. sanctions. On April 10th the U.S. and most Latin
American countries will be at the Summit of the Americas in Panama where
U.S. foreign policy towards the region will be a focus of the meeting’s
discussions.

The weekly peace vigil on the Lake Street/Marshall Avenue bridge over the
Mississippi River on Wednesday, March 25 at 4:30 pm will focus on speaking
out against the U.S. government's interference in the affairs of the
Venezuelan people.

This event is co-sponsored by the Twin Cities Peace Campaign, End War
Committee of [2]WAMM, Anti-War Committee and the MN Cuba Committee.
* S
tarting April 1st, Wednesday Peace Vigils will be from 5:00 to 6:00 pm.

End US Aid to Israel Protest

Friday, March 27th from 4:30 – 5:30pm

Intersection of Summit & Snelling in St. Paul

Join the weekly WAMM vigil to mark the upcoming [3]Palestinian Land Day.

Palestinians have remembered Land Day since March 30th, 1976 when thousands
of Palestinians in Israel gathered to protest Israeli government plans to
steal 60,000 dunams of Arab-owned land in the Galilee. Israeli police
killed six Palestinians and wounded and jailed hundreds more. Join us to
protest US support of Israel’s apartheid policies. Kid friendly event.
Join us afterwards at Shish for dinner. Eat and talk with like minded
people! Co-sponsored by the Anti-War Committee and the [4]WAMM Middle East
Committee.
