EDITOR'S RECOMMENDATIONS FOR THE WEEK:
   Spend money: At the Resource Center on Sat closeout (or next Sat).
   Train for precinct caucuses: Sat pm in Mpls, Mon pm in SLP, Wed in Edina.
   Film: Body of War at the Oak St Monday to Wednesday.
   Vets stories: Wednesday night at Augsburg.

BUS TRIP HEADS UP:  Every year, the Vets for Peace takes a bus trip to a
Georgia vigil to close the School of the Americas, a torture-training
facility operated by the US military.  It is the singingest and most
spiritual of protest actions I know.  The bus leaves the morning of 11/16,
returning the evening of 11/19, with a night at a motel there.  Cost is $200
for the bus, plus motel ($25 and up) and food.  They are down to the last
