This little tribute was sent to me by Pat Hart. I met him and think the same as she. patty
you might want to vote for him. His name is Mark Ireland.

Begin forwarded message:

He's our kind of guy - Ruby Hunt brought him to the Ross Group a week ago, and he gave us his "pitch". I liked him a lot. We all did, and we are not ones to fall for a pretty face His website is not developed yet, but I can tell you that he is an adjunct professor at Hamline University: He was an instructor at the Department of Justice's National Advocacy Center in Columbia, SC: He is currently a project advisory board member at the Kirwin Institute for Race and Ethnicity at Ohio State University. Plus, and I quote from his material "He not only has the day to day experience of being a prosecutor and an attorney, he has been involved in some of the biggest and most important issues facing our community. He brought the first case under Minnesota's Anti- Predatory Lending laws. As assistant attorney general, he sued insurance companies that had wrongfully denied coverage to kids and then shifted that burden onto the state. And he started the Foreclosure Relief Law Project, which helped over 500 people last year as well as the neighborhoods struggling with vacant properties. Some of the folks who have endorsed him are: Mike Freeman : Hennepin County Attorney, Rep. Mindy Greiling, John Hottinger, former Senate Majority leader, Rep. Steve Simon, Assistant House Majority leader, Kathy Lantry, St. Paul City Council President (who says on his big post card "judges need to know what is going on in our neighborhoods. Mark is a great lawyer who understands local issues and has deep roots in Ramsey County. That's why I support Mark Ireland", Russ Start, St. Paul City Councilperson, Mona Langston, Roseville School Board, Tom Goldstein, former Saint Paul School Board, Roland Faricy, former Ramsey County District Court Judge, Stuart Alger, former chair of the Saint Paul DFL, Nathan Hansen, deputy chair, Republican Party, Congressional District Four. Then there are Jane Prince, Dave Pinto, Mary Morse Marti and a great many lawyers. Professor Prentiss Cox at the University of Minnesota Law School says this "No other attorney in the nation has done more important creative and successful work in addressing the foreclosure crisis than Mark Ireland." On, and last year the Minnesota Justice Foundation honored Mark with an Outstanding Service Award.

He is married to a lawyer and they have one child ,which is all a miracle because he, Mark, looks about ten years old. I was so proud of him after I heard him speak that I wanted to adopt him - not trade him in for one of my sons exactly, but add him to my family to help us all keep on the straight and narrow. I don't feel this way about many people. He is really good.
