HI, Since the salon is on St Paddy's Day, we will celebrate w/stories,
poems, songs, green beer (kiddin') and what else you want. If you have
poems, music or food you want to share, bring it and we'll just
celebrate being Irish or wannabe Irish.
Thanks, pattyThe following Tuesday, St Paul author, Jill Zahniser, will read from her 1st volume of a biography of Alice Paul, a Feminist, Suffragist and political strategist and the architect of some of the outstanding political achievements on behalf of women in the 20th century. Then, on the Saturday after that, March 28 we will have our monthly movie and it will be Iron Jawed Angels, a new HBO "show of the year", staring Hilary Swank as the suffragist, Alice Paul.
This is Women's History month, so both speaker and film are timely. "We suffer from an incurable malady: Hope." Mahmoud Darwish, Palestinian poet
