Hi,
This Tuesday, May 13, the salon will have Chingwell Mutombu as our guest. Chingwell's parents were both Congolese citizens, but Chingwell, herself, was born in Iowa. She has started a non-profit microfinance organization called First Step Initiative that brings the women (especially the women) in the Democratic Republic of Congo the help they need to break the cycle of poverty.
The following week we will be discussion the book everyone is reading, Three Cups of Tea by Greg Mortenson and David Relin.
