HI, This Tuesday, March 13, the guest will be Sister Mary Virginia
Micka. It is an honor to have Sister Mary Virginia come and read from
her new book of poetry, In My Best Voice. She is also a well known St.
Paul artist and is Professor Emerita of English, the College of St.
Catherine. I write from the book, "She traces her interest in the
craft of poetry to her first encounter with the iambic pentameter in
sixth grade, when she saw how language can be used not only to identify
and define, but also to catch the pace, the color, the very "feel" of
the world around and within us----everything from delight to despair,
from abandonment to absolution to a blest and wordless peace. The
poems in this collection are among her many attempts to get that whole
feel figured out for herself, if not for generations to come."
thanks, patty
