HI, Next Tuesday's Salon (January 9) will feature a documentary called
Deir Yassin Remembered. It is the story of Deir Yassin, a village in
Palestine and the massacre that took place there on April 9, 1948, and
the attempt by Palestinians and some Israelis to remember this event so
that healing can take place. It is a profound and relevant
remembrance that is symbolic of what is happening today in Palestine.
Next Tuesday, January 16 will be a presentation by Mounds Park Academy students on IRV (instant runoff voting) and the attempt to garner support for it in St Paul.
