Hi Folks, next Tuesday the salon will be the 5th Tues in the month,
and that is when i have set aside to have an evaluation of how we all
think the salons are going. so, i suppose the only ones who will come
are those who come alot. But, that should be enough. hope to see you.

Wanted to tell you about the little conference tomorrow night (Friday)
at First Unitarian Church , 732 Holly AVe in St Paul at 6:30PM. It is
"Hope in a Time of Despair" by Amnesty International and feature Dr
Steven Miles, Professor of Medicine and Ethics at U of M. He will
speak on how the medical personal has participated in interrogation and
torture at detention centers run my our military. His new book is
"Oath Betrayed." Barbara Frey, Director of Human Rights at U of M and
Hollly Zimmer, Dir. of Communications at Center for Victims of Torture
will also participate. Music and song by Ruth Mckenzie. Try and
attend.

On Oct 31, the salon will be open discussion and w.the elections that
day, we will have lots to talk about and we can watch some of the
returns on TV.
Thanks, patty
