HI, this week's salon on Tuesday will be with Mike Quinn, retired Mpls. policeman who has written the book "Walking With the Devil: Breaking the Police Code of Silence" This is what Lydia Howell of KFAI says: "Quinn's aim was to write a 'better police ethics textbook.' What he's accomplished is a compelling personal account of policing that raises crucial issues that community activists have struggled to have taken seriously. He walks a tightrope, describing concrete examples of cop corruption, abuse and what is called "creative report" writing, while not naming names." Sounds like an exciting evening. Mad Hatter's Tea/Coffee House is at 943 W 7th, St Paul. time is 6:30 to 8:30PM. A donation for time, tea, treats, program is appreciated. Call 651-227-3228 or 651-227-2511. Thanks, patty And, as an aside, here is what i received from one of the people who came to one of the salons, "Thanks for holding these get togethers of this sort. It is comforting to find pockets of freer thinkers still bold enough to gather in America." Therese
