Due to the impending AFSCME 3800 strike at the University of
Minnesota, we have moved the Cry Justice! Conference to William
Mitchell College of Law, 875 Summit Ave (Summit & Victoria) and St.
Paul's Church, 900 Summit, St. Paul.

Registration is:

Friday night October 24 from 6 - 7 pm at St. Paul's Church, 900 Summit
Saturday Oct 25, 8 - 9 am and all day at William Mitchell, 875 Summit.
Fees are $30, $10 low income for the full conference.

Friday night the conference opens with a panel, "Cry Justice! Reports
from the Front Lines," with William Ratner, the Center for
Constitutional Rights, Lynne Stewart, civil rights lawyer targeted by
the Justice Department, Urko Aiartza, a Basque activist from Spain,
and Chris Black, who is knowledgeable about the so-called War
Tribunals. 7:00 pm in St. Paul's Church

Pramila Jayapal from the Hate Free Zones Campaign in Washington will
speak on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Church.

Amy Goodman of Democracy Now! will speak on Saturday at 1:00 pm. at
St. Paul's Church

The cost to hear featured speakers or the panel ONLY is $10 per
speaker/panel for non-Cry Justice! registrants. There is no
additional charge for Cry Justice! registrants.

Workshops and panels will be at 10:45 am, and 3:30 and 5:00 pm William
Mitchell College on Saturday.


On Saturday night at 7:30 pm, Cry Justice! is cosponsoring the film
"Streetfighter in the Courtroom: The Life of Charles R. Garry," the
story of a distinguished Armenian-American defense attorney who devoted
his life to combating the horrors of racism and political oppression,
defending Black Panthers, the Chicago 8, and interned Japanese Americans
during World War II. William Mitchell College Auditorium. Suggested
donation $8, no one turned away for lack of funds.

Also on Saturday night, Cry Justice! is cosponsoring the "Neighbors
Carry It Forward! Musical Tribute to the Wellstone Legacy with Annie
Humphrey, JoAnna James, Kathy and Leo Lara, Light From Heaven, Larry
Long, The Magpies, and Pop Wagner, 8:00 pm at Hoversten Chapel,
Augsburg College. Suggested Donation, $15, no one turned away for
lack of funds.


On Sunday morning we will gather with Demand Democracy! at the Holiday
Inn on the West Bank (7 corners) in Minneapolis for a panel by the
Local Impacts of the War on Terrorism Group at 9:15 am.


OR, you can become a part of the Community Circles at The Open Book,
1011 Washington Avenue, Sunday morning at 8:45 a.m. At 10:30, we will
join Demand Democracy! for the Call to Action!


Cry Justice! will close with a Call to Action! with Lynne Stewart at
10:45 am. at the Holiday Inn.
