How can you fight activist repression, connect with others in our community who care about political prisoners, and environmental issues, have your cake and eat it too? Come join us at the Minnehaha Free Space for International Move Marie day, to kick off the campaign to have political prisoner Marie Mason moved out of the highly restrictive maximum security unit at FMC Carswell, and work towards abolishing the unit altogether. When: Thurs. Oct 24, 7pm Where: Minnehaha Free Space, 3747 Minnehaha Ave, Mpls There will be letter writing games, lively (we promise!) presentations about the campaign & Marie herself; Lynne Stewart, the radical lawyer who is currently being denied compassionate release from Carswell; and what we can do to continue the fight against Monsanto, a struggle for which Marie lost her freedom in the first place. We promise conversation and dessert a plenty, and it's free, family friendly, and open to the public. Local contact: twincities [at] movemarie.com Learn more about Marie and the campaign at: http://supportmariemason.org/ http://www.movemarie.com/
