Author and attorney Michael Steven Smith will be in the Twin Cities from Thursday, September 29, to Saturday, October 1 to discuss his new book, *Who Killed Che? How the CIA Got Away with Murder*. The book includes new evidence implicating the CIA in the death of Che Guevara and has an introduction by Ricardo Alarcón, President of the Cuban National Assembly. Smith and his co-author Michael Ratner, are both long-time civil rights lawyers associated with the Center for Constitutional Rights. Amy Goodman, host and executive producer of Democracy Now says about the book: "Ratner and Smith cut through the lies and distortions to provide a riveting and thoroughly documented history of the murder of Che Guevara. In an era when ‘targeted assassinations’ and ‘capture and kill operations’ have become routine, and are routinely glorified by the mainstream U.S. press, their examination of the U.S. role in Che Guevara’s death could not be more timely.” Following is a list of Smith's scheduled Twin Cities appearances: Catalyst, KFAI radio, 90.3 Minneapolis, 106.7 St. Paul 9:00 am, Thursday, September 29 Macalester College, St. Paul, place to be announced 7:00 pm, Thursday, September 29 La Conexión de las Américas Coffee Hour 10:00 am, Saturday, October 1 3019 Minnehaha Ave, Suite 20 Minneapolis Mayday Books 4:00 pm, Saturday, October 1 301 Cedar Avenue Minneapolis Also sponsored by Socialist Action, Workers International League, Socialist Alternative and Hands off Venezuela For more information: MNCuba [at] gmail.com, 612-367-6134, www.minnesotacubacommittee.org
