HEADS UP: We are approaching 3,000 U.S. war dead in Iraq, and local peace
groups will be having an emergency response on the occasion (or of a major
escalation of that conflict, like sending many additional troops).  Initial
plans include a 5 to 6 pm vigil on the Marshall/Lake bridge on the day after
the announcement of 3000 dead.
