Please join us for our next Congregations Caring for Creation/ MN Interfaith
Power and Light, spring networking event - Thursday, March 15, 2007 from
6:30-8:45pm at Christ Lutheran -105 University Ave. W. St Paul, MN 55103
(across from the MN State Capitol). Free parking is available in back church
lot and on surrounding streets (consider car pooling.)  MAP

Learn about Earth Day action ideas for your congregation and how your
congregation can support state legislation to help solve global warming with
the Lutheran Coalition for Public Policy www.lcppm.org
<http://www.lcppm.org/>  and the Office for Social Justice of the
Archdiocese www.osjspm.org/globalwarming.  

        Activities for the evening include (you choose your activities): 

*       Phoning key legislative districts to support global warming
solutions (bring your cell phone) 
*       Training/role playing meeting with your legislator 
*       Letter writing to our legislators about the importance of global
warming solutions 
*       Mingling and sharing with fellow congregations about Earth Day
(April 22) activities and general projects happening within one another's
congregation 
*       MN Energy Challenge support - get buttons, fliers, sign up for a
light bulb display 
*       Sign up for a movie showing at your congregation (i.e. An
Inconvenient Truth and more) 

Schedule permitting, Senator Ellen Anderson - chief author of the Global
Warming Mitigation Act -  will stop by to give us a brief update on what is
happening inside the Minnesota legislature.
