Includes a mass rally on the National Mall starting at 11:00 AM on Saturday. UUA encourages UUs to participate in local vigils, write letters to the editor in support of Cindy Sheehan and other parents of service members killed in Iraq. WASHINGTON, D.C. Events begin Saturday with workshops and lobby trainings at a church in downtown Washington. On Sunday, All Soul's Church Unitarian will host an Interfaith Service that includes torture survivors. The main event is a mock trial on Sunday afternoon, during which prominent actors portraying US government officials (including Martin Sheen as Donald Rumsfeld!) will be prosecuted by real lawyers using real evidence from torture survivors and reputable news sources. Monday will be a rally on Capitol Hill and lobbying for an end to US support for torture.
