Peace Vigil
Lake Street/Marshall Avenue Bridge

Because next Wednesday falls on Christmas Eve, we are changing the regular
Wednesday peace vigil to Tuesday. Parking one block east of the bridge in
the Church of the Living Word Parking Lot.

We hope you can join us.  It seems especially important during this season
to speak out publicly against war and in support of the children of the
world who are always the first victims of war.

While there are many things to be concerned about this Christmas, we
marvel over the fact that millions of people around the world continue to
commemorate the birth of a person who brought a new message ? a message of
peace and love of neighbor -- while the then powerful Roman emperor,
Augustus, is but a footnote in history.
