GLBT Viewpoint Film Discussion Series at Cinema Revolution, 23 E. 26th Street, Minneapolis. Next meeting: Thursday May 1, 2008, 7 PM. This week's film to be discussed is "Fox and His Friends" (1975), one of the many films in the short but brilliant, prolific career of German auteur Rainer Werner Fassbinder. Fassbinder plays Franz Biberkopf, a financially poor gay man who performs in a traveling circus as Fox the Talking Head. One day, he lucks into winning half a million marks in a lottery, and soon discovers he has more friends than he previously thought, finding it difficult to determine who to trust.
