ACTION ALERT

DON’T LET CONGRESS SABOTAGE PEACE WITH IRAN

After over 30 years of increasing threats and crippling sanctions against
Iran, peace is finally possible. Iran and the P5+1 countries – the U.S.,
Britain, France, Russia, China and Germany – wrapped up a week of intense
negotiations in Vienna on November 24.

At the end of the talks, the two sides decided to extend the negotiations
for seven more months. They also agreed that the interim deal they had
signed in Geneva last November would remain in place during the remainder
of the negotiations until July 1, 2015.

However, The American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), the leading
pro-Israel lobby group, called for “new bipartisan sanctions legislation”
against Iran, and war hawks from both parties are hurriedly trying to pass
legislation with even more sanctions against Iran in order to hijack the
negotiations between Iran and the P5.

New Iran sanctions legislation is an unnecessary provocation, a beating of
war drums that sabotages the first direct dialogue between the US and Iran
in over 30 years.

Call your Senators and Representatives TODAY and demand that they vote NO
on legislation adding more sanctions against Iran.

Tell Congress: DON’T BLOW THIS HISTORIC OPPORTUNITY. Do they support
letting diplomacy work, or will they put our nation back on the path
towards a catastrophic war with Iran?

To call your Member of Congress:

US Capitol Switchboard (202) 224-3121
